Rick has spent much of his career building, managing and improving client-agency business relationships. In his current role Rick leads IPG’s client commercial engagement practice, working with IPG management and agency networks on new business and RFPs, negotiating client contracts and compensation terms, managing client financial relationships, and developing benchmarks and best practices across IPG. Before moving into his current role Rick was CFO of FCB North America, after leading Global Client Compensation & Contracts for McCann Worldgroup. Previous roles also include Global CFO of Euro RSCG Healthcare, and building global client finance practices at Euro RSCG and Young & Rubicam. Rick is chair of the 4As Large Agency Finance Committee, and has co-authored several AAAA publications on agency-client compensation. Before receiving his MBA in Finance and International Business from Columbia University in 1991, Rick worked in international banking for The Irving Trust Company in Germany and in the Middle East & Africa Division. He graduated from Williams College with a BA in history.
