Amy Elkins heads Media and Marketing Innovation at STX Entertainment for the Motion Picture Group. Elkins was critical in the huge success of Bad Moms which has propelled to make over $170MM in world-wide box office. Elkins is an experienced integrated film marketing executive with over seventeen years’ experience in filmed entertainment & brand management with an expertise in the digital media, data applications and a unique combination of studio, agency and entrepreneurial experience. Prior to joining STX Entertainment, leading Media and Marketing Innovation, Elkins held the post of Managing Partner Digital West Coast at Mindshare where she oversaw all regional business including Lionsgate and Summit Studios popular Catching Fire and Divergent film campaigns. Before that, Elkins had a very successful run leading the digital Media planning and buying for the Paramount Pictures theatrical and home entertainment accounts at MEC with hits including Transformers 4, Super 8, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Hugo, Madagascar 3, Paranormal Activity 3 & The Devil Inside. Elkins gained her studio experience from over eleven years at Metro Goldwyn Mayer and United Artists serving as Senior Vice President, where she participated in overall marketing initiatives in Theatrical, Consumer Products, Television and Home Entertainment Groups. During her tenure, she was integral at managing marketing strategy and execution for Rocky Balboa, Valkyrie, Die Another Day, the Legally Blonde franchise, the Barbershop franchise and The Pink Panther & Stargate brands. Elkins began her career at Grey Advertising in Los Angeles in Media. Elkins is a graduate of UCLA.
